ClassMessenger
ClassMessenger is an online messaging system through Scholastic. It allows for secure, two-way communication via text message or email. Parents add themselves to your class. Consider having a Chromebook set up on conference day for parents to sign up as they wait.

Plickers
Plickers is an awesome and interactive formative assessment tool, especially since we are not 1:1 (yet!) Using paper clicker (henceforth known as Plickers,) students hold up unique cards to respond to ABCD or TF questions. You scan it on your phone or tablet, as shown in this video. Since each card is unique (even oriented differently,) students cannot look at each others answers.
